So, posting, huh? One of the most essential and powerful keys that people overlook, especially when they are trying to grow their network and/or build up their personal brand on LinkedIn. But, let me tell you that posting a lot of valuable content regularly in your feed or sharing on your company page with relevant hashtags and suitable keywords, increases your followers, engagement, customers, and revenue if that’s your purpose.

Can you schedule a LinkedIn post?

Scheduling posts directly on LinkedIn is not available for personal profiles. However, you can use third-party social media management tools, such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social, to schedule and manage your LinkedIn posts. Simply sign up for an account with one of these platforms, connect your LinkedIn profile, and then follow the tool's instructions to create, schedule, and publish your content at the desired times.

Being active on social media platforms, especially a business-oriented one like LinkedIn, is one of the very effective ways to grow your business and reputation these days. So it is only logical for you to create a company page on LinkedIn and try to produce valuable content to make sure people notice you. That is just great, but how about learning how to schedule your content to be regular, its benefits, and other stuff about scheduling your posts on LinkedIn?

Can you schedule a LinkedIn post?

It is very important to know when the best time to post on LinkedIn is to get the most views and engagement. It is crucial in the first hour after you post because the algorithms decide what to do with your posts depending on the reactions they get from the content during that very time. Knowing which day and hour is the best time for you to post is vital.

Do you have that perfect time? Good, but we live in a very busy era and there are thousands of reasons to get distracted and forget about posting at a specific time. That is why you need a way to schedule your content and a post calendar to remind you that you are to publish a post on LinkedIn.

So, can you schedule a LinkedIn post? Yes, you can. Thankfully there are some ways to time your posts and not to be concerned over when or if you posted the right one or not at the correct time.

Are you a very busy person like many others in this modern era? Just schedule the content to be posted automatically, no need to publish many posts at once and disappear from LinkedIn for a long time!

I have some suggested tools and a direct way which I just heard about, but could not try myself.

So, people used to schedule their content using different tools which we will get to in a minute, but it has been on December 2022 if I’m not mistaken that LinkedIn announced they are testing a new feature that allows people to schedule their posts on the platform directly.

I just saw this on YouTube videos because they decided not to add this feature for every user yet, don’t know the reason. Anyways, it seems like they added a little clock-shaped button next to the post button in the new post section that allows you to set a date and time for posting content you’ve produced.

That is pretty much it, which is perfect, makes everything much easier and it is free.

But how about those third-party tools, you know, since most of us do not see that button yet? Alright, so I will introduce some of the most popular tools to you here.

1. Greatlysocial.com

This is one of the best and easiest tools to use to schedule your post on LinkedIn and other social media platforms. It is free, user-friendly, and easy to use. You just need to sign up on the website, link it to your LinkedIn account and then start uploading the posts you already produced or create it on the website and then schedule them to be published automatically. So easy right?

Greatlysocial.com

2. Hootsuite

This tool is a very professional one, which you can easily schedule any kind of content in it and manage the engagement at the same time. It is perfect for bigger companies to manage and monitor their online presence on social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, but it is not free even though it has a free trial, but you’ve got to link them to your PayPal account first, which I really don’t like.

3. Buffer

Buffer is another post-scheduling tool to manage your posts on social media platforms that are perfect for teams. It is an intuitive, efficient social media management tool that so many brands and companies trust, and even individuals to help them schedule and plan their content effectively for the best result.

It has a 14 days trial and no need to link them to your payment account in advance. It is so easy to work with and even easier to tag your buffer to your LinkedIn account. And let me tell you that it is so easy to work with this tool. Even much easier than the GreatlySocial tool.

Buffer

4. Slack social

Let me tell you that this one is a very popular tool among those users who love to post texts. Why? Because that is the only thing that the free version does. To post media and other types of content you need to upgrade it. But in my experience, this tool needs a way much better UX. It is not easy to work with, it can be confusing, etc. although I liked the fact that it provides you with a graphic analysis of engagement statistics.

5. Publer

This one is my favorite. It has a free plan, not a trial, and although you need to use the paid version for using some features, the free version seems to be quiet enough for most individuals and brands. It is easy to work with, has a good UI and UX, and has many features.

You can easily write texts, find hashtags with the hashtag feature, add media to your posts, etc. The thing that always gets me is that you can easily drag a post you scheduled and put it to another date in your calendar.

Why should you schedule LinkedIn posts?

All right, we all know that it is a success key factor to be active on social media platforms for any business, like it or not. But to be honest, the fact that we should constantly be producing valuable content, thinking about the newer ways to attract customers, thinking about when is the best time for posting, and other stuff that we should be always considering, make it a constant all-out war.

Using a simple post-scheduling tool can decrease this stress significantly and gives you enough time for producing perfect quality content for your next posts. It stops those posts produced in a hurry, with horrible quality, and those that are not even related to your page.

Why should you schedule LinkedIn posts?

So, these schedulers help you, use your time in the best way. How? You can produce posts for a week or even a month and plan them in these schedulers.

You are organizing your content and stopping mistakes like republishing a post multiple times (if not intended). I always do this for one month. You see, I use one weekend per month to produce and schedule the posts that are going to be published in the next month with my content team and that is it.

My team and I would not spend our time worrying over time, place, and content. We can then concentrate on engagement, marketing, new services development, etc. at the CUFinder website. It decreased our daily stress too much and speed up our routine a great deal.

Another benefit of scheduling is that it provides you with enough time to think of a good caption for photos and videos you are posting.

This may not seem that important to you and so many other users. Still, a good caption is something that convinces people to spend their time watching the video you posted, share it, and engage in the comment section and express their thoughts about it.

In a caption, you can use some perfect hashtags, keywords, etc. to persuade the algorithm to show your posts to more and more users. So schedule your posts and always think of a good caption, not the cliché and general ones.

A primary benefit of scheduling your posts is that it prevents you from unconsciously forgetting about posting content and keeps your online presence strong.

I mean, we live in the busiest era of mankind’s history, so it is pretty easy to just simply forget about posting regularly. That can be very harmful to a company page, you know? Never tease the LinkedIn algorithms, they can get you into a lot of trouble. Use a scheduling tool and just be regular and organized.

Why should you schedule LinkedIn posts?

Time zone matters. What? As a brand, you probably know where most of your customers live. So you can actually define the best time to publish your posts.

If you are in Germany and most of your customers live in the United States, you cannot post in like 10 A.M. in Berlin, because that will be around 3 to 4 A.M. in the United States, who is up to actually see your posts?

And I guarantee you can get so busy during the day that you might forget the best time to post on LinkedIn. So why not use a scheduling tool and organize your posting for the best day and time?

Scheduling your posts can also help you and your team to publish the best content at the most suitable time.

I mean, are you a fashion company and you are producing a new collection for the summer? Why not create a post related to that collection and schedule them to be published at the best time possible?

You know that you would get too busy at that time of year to be able to create qualified content, right? And you can always change the publish date if you want, you know? Feels so good to be able to manage things in advance.

As we said, these tools can strengthen your online presence on different platforms. You see, it is so easy to simply get washed up in different posts that people share and don’t get enough post views and engagement.

That happens even more when you are posting every now and then and not regularly. Secluding the contents can organize your content and make sure that the algorithms get to know you as an active user.

One of the things that can make a post get trended is the engagement you have with the audience. You see, the LinkedIn algorithms are more likely to consider the comments that the post author replied to.

When you are posting comments manually, it gets hard to find enough time to also interact with your audience. Using a scheduling tool can help you a lot with that matter. It actually makes time for you to interact with the commenters.

You can also use that spare time for planning and strategizing your social media marketing.

Take this time to analyze which posts grabbed more attention, which one had the most reactions, comments, and shares, which one got trended, etc.

This can be done using LinkedIn data that it provides you with and/or the data the tool might be providing. Organize your content strategy based on the data you got and create better content.

LinkedIn has an interesting power in visitors to lead conversation rate, it is three times more than Facebook and Twitter, 2.77% to 0.77% and 0.69%.

This makes it very important to be active on this platform when we are building our brand. There are many factors that you need to see to have a perfect post on LinkedIn, like a perfect caption, interesting media, proper hashtags, related keywords, enough engagement, etc. but one of the most important ones to persuade LinkedIn algorithms to show your posts to more people is to be regular.

No one gets anywhere with LinkedIn when they post every now and then, even if they are creating the best thing ever. I mean, it might get some exposure if it is so good, but a lot of your connections will never notice that post, not to mention those who are out of your network! Using a post-scheduler tool can help you a lot with that matter.

How to schedule a carousel post on LinkedIn?

Carousel posts are posts that contain more than one picture or video and the audience can view them by swiping left on it or clicking the left and right arrows.

So it is an interesting form of photo posting that allows you to share multiple photos and slides on LinkedIn and photos and videos on Instagram. So, let’s see how to create a carousel post, why should you do it, and if you can schedule them as well.

How to schedule a carousel post on LinkedIn?

All right, so I am not sure about this one, but there is this LinkedIn help that suggests users use the LinkedIn carousel feature!

There is no such thing at least in the basic and premium version of LinkedIn. You can share multiple photos, and share a document though. Of course, when you share multiple photos (up to 9 photos are allowed to be posted at once), it won’t be a carousel when it gets to yours and your connections feed, it will be shown in a grid format and they have to click on one of them to see the photos in the carousel format. It is good and bad at the same time.

You know that many carousel posts’ slides never get to be swiped because the users won’t recognize that they are a carousel unless they actually click on the picture. But with a grid format, they will know that there are some pictures waiting to be seen.

Although some might not like the chaos they may feel in these kinds of posts. The other problem would be that it is hard to figure out the photos’ order in a grid format and considering the fact that people might just be browsing LinkedIn, they may easily scroll a grid post up! So, is there a way to make a carousel post on LinkedIn at all?

Yes, thanks to the document sharing feature you can upload different documents on the platform, such as Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. And unlike the photos, there is no under ten slide limitation in this case! Let me tell you that these slides are engagement wizards.

The level of interaction that goes on under these carousel posts is usually not seen even in the videos. Maybe that’s why influencers are so interested in it. Not only can you easily provide your audience with much more information than long texts, but with a little creativity you can convince anyone to see all the way to the end of the slides, just don’t be boring. Even better, your audience can easily download these carousel posts in PDF format and always have access to them, this is a form of knowledge sharing.

In fact, you can share the Microsoft Word file that you want them to read in the carousel format so that those who are interested in the topic can easily download and read it.

How to schedule a carousel post on LinkedIn?

Of course, there are always limitations. For example, the uploaded file size cannot exceed 100 megabytes, and the maximum number of slides you can upload is 300.

I know it’s more than anyone could possibly need. Let’s be honest, not many people even go beyond 20 slides. If they are going to flip through 300 slides or read a 300-page article, don’t you think a book would be better than your writing?

Allowed file types are PPT, PPTX, DOC, DOCX, and PDF. Also, keep in mind that you cannot change the order or the slides after uploading. It must be done in the original file before uploading. Now the question is, what are these carousel posts used for?

Well, they can be used to share almost anything! However, it is very rare that people put their articles out there for their audience in this way. There are always better ways to do this. Most carousel posts are used to provide statistics, charts, and infographics, share business lessons, guidelines, conference or event content, promote your content, and so on.

Many of you ask whether it is possible to schedule the carousel posts? I personally tested this in several scheduling tools and unfortunately, you cannot add any documents, at least in the free plans of these tools. However, you can always schedule posts with a few photos and hope it does as well as the carousel post.

How to schedule a carousel post on LinkedIn?

Remember that:

• Always take the first step firmly. The first slide is always the showcase of your work and the most important factor that encourages the viewer to continue viewing the slides.

• So choose a good cover for your carousel post. Know, unfortunately, you cannot use gifs, animations, etc. in such posts.

• Be sure to use CTA. It is very important especially if your carousel post is not merely informative. A CTA encourages users to take action. For example, tell them if they need to call you or enter the company’s website and see other products and services.

• It is recommended to save the files as PDFs and share them in this format in order to maintain the quality of the photos and slides as much as possible.

Conclusion

It is very important to be able to manage everything, especially when you are posting content. That’s why it’s so important to know how to schedule your posts on LinkedIn. Well, you can always have one of those pocket calendars and write that a certain post should be shared on a certain date and time in that. But based on my own experience, we usually get so busy that we forget many more important things, such as doctor’s appointments, let alone posting content. let me not mention if we find enough time to produce acceptable content! This is why many companies and individuals use different content scheduling tools to automatically share their posts. Believe it or not, this will save you from a lot of trouble and a big amount of your time will get free. So give it a try and ease the tedious process of constantly posting on LinkedIn.

What is the golden hour for LinkedIn posts?

The “golden hour” for LinkedIn posts typically refers to the first hour after you publish your content. During this time, your post has the potential to gain the most visibility and engagement. It’s believed that LinkedIn’s algorithm gives new posts a bit of a boost when they are initially published. Therefore, posting during a time when your target audience is most active on the platform can help your content reach a larger audience.

However, it’s essential to remember that the ideal time for posting can vary based on your specific audience and industry. To determine the best posting times for your content, you might want to experiment with different time slots and analyze the performance of your posts to see when you get the most engagement. LinkedIn Insights can provide valuable data on when your followers are most active.

To maintain an effective presence on LinkedIn, it’s generally recommended to post once or twice a week. This frequency is often enough to keep your profile active and engage your network without overwhelming your connections with too much content. Regular posting helps in building a professional brand, staying top of mind with your network, and sharing industry insights or professional experiences.
