Founded in 1937, Sangmyung University is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Seoul (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). This institution also has a branch campus in Cheonan-si. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Sangmyung University (SMU) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 20,000-24,999 students) coeducational South Korean higher education institution. Sangmyung University (SMU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
