Established in 1957, Yonsei University is a for-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Seoul (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Yonsei University is a very large (uniRank enrollment range: 35,000-39,999 students) coeducational South Korean higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Protestant religion.
