Established in 1979, University of Mazandaran is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Babolsar (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Mazandaran. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science Research and Technology of Iran, University of Mazandaran (UMZ) is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational Iranian higher education institution. University of Mazandaran (UMZ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study.
