ASSESSING THE IMPACT OF VACCINATION REPRODUCTION NUMBER AND ENDEMIC EQUILIBRIUM ON CONTROLLING THE SPREAD OF COVID-19: A SENSITIVITY ANALYSIS.

In this research paper, we present an enhanced SEIR mathematical model tailored to investigate the dynamics of COVID-19 transmission, considering the influence of vaccination. Our study aims to achieve several objectives, including examining the stability and existence of equilibrium points, performing a sensitivity analysis of the vaccination reproduction number (Rv) and endemic equilibrium, and identifying crucial parameters that impact the transmission and prevalence of COVID-19. The outcomes obtained from our analytical-numerical approach are presented through graphical representations, illustrating the theoretical analysis. Moreover, we discuss the implications of our model results on public health, raising important points for further discussion and validation.

Bifurcation analysis of a diffusive predator–prey model with prey social behavior and predator harvesting

In this research, we investigate the influence of predator harvesting on the predator–prey interaction in the presence of prey social behavior using a reaction–diffusion system subject to the Neumann boundary conditions. It has been proved that the investigated model can undergo Hopf, Turing–Hopf bifurcation, which indicates the possibility of having a homogenous/nonhomogeneous periodic solution under some conditions on the model parameters. The stability of these periodic solutions is studied using the normal form on the center of the manifold theory. The obtained mathematical results are checked numerically.

Global proprieties of a delayed epidemic model with partial susceptible protection

In the case of an epidemic, the government (or population itself) can use protection for reducing the epidemic. This research investigates the global dynamics of a delayed epidemic model with partial susceptible protection. A threshold dynamics is obtained in terms of the basic reproduction number, where for R0< 1 the infection will extinct from the population. But, for R0> 1 it has been shown that the disease will persist, and the unique positive equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable. The principal purpose of this research is to determine a relation between the isolation rate and the basic reproduction number in such a way we can eliminate the infection from the population. Moreover, we will determine the minimal protection force to eliminate the infection for the population. A comparative analysis with the classical SIR model is provided. The results are supported by some numerical illustrations with their epidemiological relevance.

Mathematical analysis of a fractional resource-consumer model with disease developed in consumer

The research presents a qualitative investigation of a fractional-order consumer-resource system with the hunting cooperation interaction functional and an infection developed in the resources population. The existence of the equilibria is discussed where there are many scenarios that have been distinguished as the extinction of both populations, the extinction of the infection, the persistence of the infection, and the two populations. The influence of the hunting cooperation interaction functional is also investigated where it can influence the existence of equilibria and their stability. A proper numerical scheme is used for building a proper graphical representation for the goal of confirming the theoretical results.

A predictive spatio-temporal model for bovine babesiosis epidemic transmission

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze a new dynamical model pertaining to bovine Babesiosis transmission, and investigate its consequent morphology. We present and study various ramifications of our mathematical model for bovine Babesiosis spread, given, firstly, by a temporal system of ordinary differential equations and, finally, by a spatio-temporal system consisting of reaction-diffusion equations. Diffusion terms are incorporated into the model, using specific derivations for both infected ticks and infected bovines. Furthermore, mechanisms for the nearest neighbors’ infection are integrated into the model. We determine mathematically the basic reproduction number R 0 via the next-generation matrix. Then, we analyze the stability of the equilibria and the effects of the mobility of infectious agents, being they either ticks or bovines. Bifurcation analysis of a diffusive predator-prey model with schooling behaviour and cannibalism in prey

In this paper, we study a predator-prey diffusion model, where we consider two very important factors, herd behaviour and cannibalism in prey. These strange behaviours may exist is some aquatic carnivorous living being such as tuna. Our main objective in this work is to highlight the effect of prey cannibalism on the interaction between predator and prey. In a first step, we make an analysis of the system in the absence of diffusion, where the stability of the equilibrium states and the Hopf bifurcation are treated. Then, the effect of the presence of spatial diffusion is investigated by studying the global stability of the free equilibrium of cannibalism, the Hopf bifurcation and the stability of the periodic solution. The results of the proposed model are then raised, analysed and discussed.

Turing-Hopf bifurcation in a diffusive mussel-algae model with time-fractional-order derivative

In this paper, we consider a time fractional-order derivative for a diffusive mussel–algae model. The existence of pattern formation was the subject of interest of many previous research works in the case of the diffusive mussel–algae model. Examples include the Turing instability, Hopf bifurcation, Turing-Hopf bifurcation, and others. The presence of the time–fractional–order derivative never been investigated in this model. Next to it ecological relevant, it can generate some important patterns. One of these patterns is produced by the presence of the Turing-Hopf bifurcation. Therefore, our main interest is to analyze the effect of the time fractional–order derivative on the spatiotemporal behavior of the solution, which never been achieved for the mussel-algae model.
