Alternaria species produce several mycotoxins, such as alternariol (AOH), alternariol monomethyl ether (AME), altenuene (ALT), altertoxin (ATX), tentoxin (TTX) and tenuazonic acid (TeA). This research aimed to isolate and identify mycotoxins from highly toxic Alternaria alternata (w19) and A. tennuisima isolates and their phytotoxicity effects. Fungal metabolites were extracted from 21-day cultures of Alternaria in a Czapek broth medium with the organic solvent chloroform/acetone and identified using the HPLC method. Alternaria metabolites were infiltrated in vivo into several plant leaves for phytotoxicity detection. The study investigated the impact of temperature, time, and metabolite concentration on phytotoxicity using the detached leaf infiltration technique. Five mycotoxins (TTX, TeA, ALT, AOH, and AME) were detected in A. alternata W19 isolate with 959.24, 102.03, 24.01, 9.04, and 2.44 ppm, respectively. A …

به منظور بررسی تأثیر کاربرد همزمان Trichoderma harzianum و مالچ گیاهی بر عملکرد و خصوصیات فیزیولوژیکی گندم رقم نارین و تآثیر آن بر روی برهمکنش این رقم با قارچ Alternaria alternata، آزمایشی در قالب طرح بلوکهای کامل تصادفی با چهار تکرار انجام شد. تیمارها شامل شاهد (بدون کاربرد تریکودرما هارزیانوم)،  تریکودرما خاک کاربرد، تریکودرما برگکاربرد در مرحله دانهبندی، تریکودرما خاک کاربرد توأم با برگ‌کاربرد در مرحله دانهبندی بودند. در مرحله دانه بندی هر واحد آزمایشی به دو بخش تقسیم شد و تیمار بیمارگر عامل لکه برگی در دو سطح (تلقیح اندام هوایی در مرحله دانهبندی و بدون تلقیح) بعنوان فاکتور فرعی در آزمایش در نظر گرفته شد. هدف از کاربرد تیمار بیمارگر بررسی تآثیر قارچ تریکودرما در حضور بیمارگر بود و تأثیر آن بر صفات فیزیولوژیکی (شامل فنل کل، کلروفیل a، کلروفیل b، کاروتنوئید، کلروفیل کل) بود جهت بررسی اثر کاربردهای مختلف تریکودرما بر رقم نارین نیز در بخش دیگر کرت که بدون تیمار بیمارگر بود تجزیه و تحلیل صفات رشدی، عملکرد و اجزای عملکرد اندازهگیری شد. پس از تلقیح بیمارگر هیچ گونه علائم بیماری اعم از نکروز یا کلروز برگی مشاهده نشد. تجزیه صفات فیزیولوژیکی نشان داد که تنها میانگین اثر ساده تلقیح یا عدم تلقیح A. alternata با وجود تریکودرما اختلاف معنیداری (P < 0.05) از نظر محتوی فنل کل داشت و نتایج صفات رشدی، عملکردی نشان داد که تیمار T. harzianum بر هیچ کدام اثر معنیداری نداشت. دادههای این تحقیق برای اولین بار نشان داد که A. alternata توانایی ایجاد بیماری برروی گندم نارین را داشت.

Purpose Chitin is a structural, long_chain polysaccharide of N-acetylglucosamine subunits with beta 1,4 glycosylated bonds and the second post-cellulose polysaccharide in nature. Chitinases enzymes are capable of degrading chitin, plays essential roles in the decomposition of chitinous wastes, can be used as a biological fungicide against phytopathogenic fungi. Research method Fusarium isolates were recovered from soil, the spore of phytopathogenic fungi, and cereal tissues in different areas of Birjand plain during 2013-2017. A chitinase enzyme activity assay was performed using the Lugol''''s solution staining method and genomic replication by DECH degenerate primers. Findings Eighty-three isolates of Fusarium presenting the chitinolytic activity were recovered from soil, cereal plant tissues from different areas of the Birjand plain in Iran. Some isolates were also recovered from barley loose smut and barberry rust spores. Chitinase enzyme activity was detected in Fusarium solani, F. proliferatum, F. avenaceum, F. fujikuroi, F. acuminatum, F. semitectum, F. culmorum, F. equiseti, F. nygamai, F. diversisporum, F. oxysporum and F. longipes by chitinase bioassay method and/or DECH primers for chitinase. Limitations There were no limitations to report.Originality/Value Based on the molecular data, the secreted chitinases belonged to chitinse1 or endochitinase-42 kDa, members of GH family 18. This is the first report of chitinases from Fusarium species in Iran.

Many types of mycotoxins are found in food sources contaminated with fungi, and if these are ingested in large quantities or over a long period, they can affect the health of humans and domestic animals. Berberine (BBR) is a plant alkaloid with multiple pharmacological functions. This study aimed to investigate the effect of different levels of the plant alkaloid BBR on reducing toxic effects of aflatoxin B1 (AFB) and ochratoxin A (OTA) in broilers by examining performance characteristics, blood biochemistry, antioxidant systems, ileum morphology, and histopathology of the liver. The experiment was performed with 288 Ross 308 broilers reared in floor pens for 42 d in a randomized design with 9 treatments. Species of the genus Salsola belong to the family Chenopodiaceae and are associated with large saline areas in eastern Iran. The aim of the study was to isolate and characterize the endophytic and phytopathogenic fungal communities from non-mycotrophic Salsola species. Sampling was done from different parts of Salsola plants in the Birjand region in 2017 and 2018. Isolation and identification of fungal isolates were done using biological characteristics and ITS region sequences. The pathogenicity of the representative isolates was investigated by cultivating disinfected Salsola incanescens seeds under greenhouse conditions and inoculating seedlings with a fungal spore suspension from 7 day old fungal colonies on PDA media.
