The purpose of the present research was to describe and compare the personality traits of Group and individual game players represented at state, national, and all India university level of sports. The method of the study is descriptive analyses, total 300 (Each 100) samples including both in individual and group game players were selected as sample and To collect the data the standardized scale devised by Dr. Ajith Sing has administered on the subject who are participating in state, national, and all India interuniversity tournament, later ‘t’test was applied to assess the significant difference in various factor of personality traits between sportswomen of individual and group game, the conclusion was drawn that group game sportsperson have possessed the high sociability personality traits comparing to their counterpart, it was rationalized that nature of group participation develops and Cultivates the social values and character among the participants.

The purpose of the study was to study physical fitness and playing ability of Hockey players. There were four selective physical fitness components which were used as a criterion measures for this study. For analysis the data and to find out the relationship between selective physical fitness and playing ability Pearson product moment correlation ship was applied. Level of confidence was set at. 05 levels. Firstly, selective fitness components were evaluated. The result of the study clearly discloses that physical fitness had considerable relationship with the playing ability of the University Hockey players of Bengaluru University. On the basis of results and associated discussion it may be concluded that physical fitness and playing ability had low correlation. Effect of Yogic Practices and Aerobic Training on Selected Lung Functions among Physical Education Students

The purpose of the study was to find out the effect of yogic practices and aerobic training on lung functions among physical education students. To achieve the purpose of the present study, forty five physical education students from Department of Physical Education, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu were selected as subjects at random and their age ranged from 18 to 25 years. The subjects were divided into three equal groups. The study was formulated as a true random group design, consisting of a pre-test and post-test. The subjects (n= 45) were randomly assigned to three equal groups of fifteen each. The groups were assigned as yogic practices, aerobic training and control group in an equivalent manner. The two training groups participated for a period of twelve weeks and the post-tests were conducted. The Analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to test the treatment effect of the training programmes on all the variables used in the study. When the adjusted post-test was significant, the Scheffe’s post-hoc test was used to find out the paired mean differences. The experimental groups had achieved significant improvement on selected lung functions of physical education students when compared to control group.
