Effectiveness of Flip—Book Optic Devices based on Problem-Based Learning Assisted with Virtual Laboratory Simulation to Improve High School Students’ Visual Representation

Optical devices are a complex material, most of the concepts are related to abstraction and visualization such as the formation of shadows and light trails, so that a good visual representation is needed to achieve this material competence. Visual representation in physics learning is important, but some teachers still find it difficult to instill this ability due to media constraints. Therefore, this study uses PBL-based flip-book media assisted by virtual laboratory simulations to overcome this problem. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of PBL-based flip-books assisted by Virtual Laboratory Simulation in improving students' visual representation skills on optical instrument material. The method used is quantitative with quasi-experimental methods, pretest and posttest through instruments based on visual representation indicators. The results of this study indicate that the use of PBL-based flip-books assisted by Virtual Simulation has a positive effect on students' visual representation abilities. This is shown in the acquisition of the N-Gain value of 0.828 in the high category. This study concludes that the use of PBL-based flip-books assisted by virtual lab simulations improves students' visual representation abilities.

Global citizenship education in the perspective of strengthening Pancasila student profiles

The implementation of Pancasila student profile values in global citizenship education that is applied to national schools abroad needs to be analyzed in order to achieve the meaning and goals of global citizenship education. This study aims to provide an overview of the actualization characteristics of the project to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in global citizenship education. This research is quantitative with a descriptive method at the Indonesian School of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The research instrument used questionnaire data analysis techniques by collecting, selecting, editing, coding, and presenting data. The results showed that strengthening the profile of Pancasila students was implemented in the form of cultural projects, entrepreneurial projects, archipelago culinary projects, and environmental preservation projects. The implications of this research provide recommendations regarding the implementation of global citizenship education based on a contextual approach by strengthening the profile of Pancasila students who are oriented towards solving global issues.

Systematic Literature Review: The Role of Physics in Implementing Disaster Alert Schools in Yogyakarta

School Standby Disaster became a program initiated by BPBD in the Special Region of Yogyakarta for prepare participant educate in face disaster. Aim from study this is for give a systematic literature review (SLR) that will help identify application School Standby Disaster in the Special Region of Yogyakarta through study previously relevant. There are 7 articles reviewed and 5 schools Standby The disaster that was in DIY was made object research. Based on results study show that not yet there is research conducted at high school/equivalent and which integrates mitigation disaster in physics.

Analysis of Research Trends in Creative Thinking Skills in Science Learning: A Systemic Literature Review

There are problems in science learning, such as decreased learning outcomes, a lack of student motivation, and difficult science material. This creative thinking skill is a solution to the problem. This study aims to provide information and alternative solutions using appropriate models or methods to improve creative thinking skills. The method employed is content analysis of articles from journals indexed by Sinta 1-2 from 2011 to 2023. The results of the study showed that the PBL and PJBL models were the right choice for implementing creative thinking skills by using science-based practicum material with the successful achievement of indicators of creative thinking skills, including indicators of flexibility and originality.

Developing and implementing an instrument for assessing critical thinking and visual representations in learning Physics materials of Optical Instruments

This study aims to develop an assessment instrument to measure students' critical thinking and visual representation abilitiesin optical instrument material. Thisresearch and development (R&D) employed the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) instructional model. This research develops a test instrument that has more specific stages so the ADDIE development stage is integrated with the development stage of the test instrument developed by Mardapi. The subjects in this study are grade XI students of State Madrasah Aliyah (MAN) 4 Bantul. This study produced a test instrument for measuring students' critical thinking and visual representation abilities, with high validity, and analyzed using Aiken's V. The items for assessing critical thinking and visual representation abilities were analyzed using the QUEST program with the following findings.(1) The analysis results of instrument validation using Aiken's V obtained an average Aiken's Value above 0.4 with high validity and moderate validity criteria so that all items are valid.(2) The pre-test analysis on item estimates obtained MNSQ Infit in the range 0.77-1.30 and the value of outfit t≤ 2 and in the MNSQ Infit case estimates in the range 0.77-1.30, so overall, the items matched to Rasch models.(3) Post-test analysis on item estimates obtained MNSQ Infit in the range 0.77-1.30 and outfit t value≤ 2 and in case estimates MNSQ Infit in the range 0.77-1.30 so, overall, items are in accordance with Rasch models.(4) The reliability of the pre-test items is 0.92 while the reliability of the post-test items is 0.76.(5) The difficulty level of the items in the pre-test results shows …

Effectiveness Test Application Lectora Inspire as Science Learning Media for Upgrade Concept understanding Student

This study aim for test effectiveness application lectora inspire to understanding draft student. Research design this use design study quasi experiment with one group pretest posttest design. Sample in research this that is class VIII C with the number of 29 students and taking sample using cluster sampling technique. Instruments used is an instrument of understanding draft with material system digestion human. Data collection is carried out with use test understanding form concept _ pretest and posttest. Understanding results draft analyzed using paired sample t-test. Research results shows the average obtained of-13,428 that there is enhancement understanding draft participant educate. Then, application lectora inspire very effectiveness as learning media.

Content Analysis of Class X High School Physics Learning Video by Koh Ben on the Big Course YouTube Channel

This paper reports research that aims to determine the feasibility of a learning video made by Koh Ben on the'BIG Course'YouTube channel. Video learning is one of the most frequently used learning media and only videos that are appropriate can provide maximum benefits in learning physics. This study used a content analysis design with 4 analyzes carried out, namely content analysis, presentation analysis, graphic analysis, and language analysis. The learning videos analyzed were taken directly from the YouTube channel totaling 20 videos containing material for class X physics in the 2013 curriculum. From the results and discussion, it was concluded that the 20 videos for teaching physics for class X were very feasible with a percentage of 89.25% on the content aspect, 86% on the aspect delivery, 91.5% in the graphic aspect, and 99.75% in the language aspect

PENGARUH MODEL E-JIGSAW LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOLABORASI MAHASISWA

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of the e-jigsaw learning model to improve student collaboration skills. This research is an educational development research which is adapted from the development model according to Borg & Gall. The instrument used in this research is a collaboration skills questionnaire. The skills assessment was carried out for first semester students where two classes came from a state university and one class came from a private university. The results of the development are e-jigsaw learning learning model products. From the results of the research and development stages that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the e-jigsaw learning model is effective for improving collaboration skills.Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menyelidiki efektivitas model pembelajaran e-jigsaw learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan pendidikan yang diadapatasi dari model pengembangan menurut Borg & Gall. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah angket keterampilan kolaborasi. Penilaian keterampilan tersebut dilakukan pada mahasiswa semester satu yang dua kelas berasal dari sebuah universitas negeri dan satu kelas berasal dari sebuah universitas swasta. Hasil pengembangan yaitu produk model pembelajaran ejigsaw learning. Dari hasil tahapan penelitian dan pengembangan yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran e-jigsaw learning efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kolaborasi.
