Poincaré map Identification of Switched Nonlinear Systems Using SINDy Method

This paper presents an extended approach for the identification and characterization of limit cycles in switched nonlinear dynamical systems using the Poincaré map and the Sparse Identification of Nonlinear Dynamics (SINDy) technique. We can effectively unravel critical insights from the complex behavior exhibited by switched nonlinear systems. This extended technique of Poincaré map identification using the SINDy method allows us to comprehensively comprehend the system’s evolution during mode transitions across specific intersections. The proposed method plays a pivotal role in both stabilizing switched systems and conducting a comprehensive analysis of their limit cycles. Fractional Adaptive Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control Algorithm for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generators

This paper presents a fractional order robust nonlinear control for variable speed wind energy system equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous generator. The control strategy, which is applied to the generator side converter, combines the Sliding Mode Control method with three adaptive Takagi Sugeno fuzzy systems in the fractional order. The resulting control laws improve the system’s robustness and tracking performance. Fractional Lyapunov function has been used to prove the asymptotic stability of the control system. The comparison of simulation results between the proposed control method and its integer order counterpart, via Matlab / Simulink environment, illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed control approach regarding external disturbances and parametric uncertainties.

Fractional-order adaptive fuzzy super twisting sliding mode controller for permanent magnet synchronous generators

This paper studies the performance of a robust control approach which combines the Super-Twisting Sliding Mode Control with adaptive Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy logic systems in fractional order. The objective is to extract maximum power of a variable speed wind energy system equipped with permanent magnet synchronous generators. The developed nonlinear approach aims to reduce the chattering problem and improve system’s tracking and robustness despite external disturbances and parametric variations. The stability of the control laws is demonstrated by the stability analysis of Lyapunov theory. To validate the suggested approach, simulations using Matlab/Simulink for integer-order and fractional control schemes were conducted.

Fractional-order adaptive fuzzy backstepping algorithm for automated control of blood glucose in diabetes mellitus type 1 patients

This study proposes a fractional-order control for the automatic stabilization of the blood glucose level in Diabetes Mellitus Type-1 patients. The control scheme under study, which is applied to a fractional Extended Bergman’s minimal model (EBMM), combines the feedback form of backstepping technique with three fractional Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy systems. This allows getting rid of the requirements of the patient parameters knowledge and aims to attenuate the effect of disturbances to the blood glucose level during meal intake. A mathematical analysis has been done to prove the asymptotic stability using a fractional Lyapunov function. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the fractional proposed approach, a comparative study with other methods is presented.

Adaptive interval type 2 fuzzy fractional order sliding mode control for permanent magnet synchronous generators

This paper proposes a design of adaptive interval type 2 fuzzy logic robust nonlinear controller using the fractional sliding mode approach. The control method is used on the permanent magnet synchronous generator for a variable speed wind conversion system. To attenuate the chattering effect, adaptive interval types 2 fuzzy systems are used to substitute the sliding discontinuous signals. The control scheme is achieved from the stability study of lyapunov’s approach. To compare the tracking performance and system robustness of the proposed fractional control method to the conventional sliding approach, simulation tests via Matlab/Simulink environment, are carried out under external disturbances and parameter variations.
