In this modern era, it has become much simpler to replicate, sell, and copy the copyright owners' works without their permission as a result of the expansion of digitalization, and it is difficult to identify such violations, posing a threat to the creators' and copyright owners' rights. For many years, the internet has been regarded as one of the most serious threats to copyright, and the content available has varying levels of copyright protection. On the internet, there are numerous copyrighted works, including e-books, movies, news, and so on. Therefore, by using watermarking and steganography techniques, these issues can be solved, which are based on the author's signature information or logo. This paper concluded that the techniques of discrete cosine transform (DCT), discrete wavelet transform (DWT), one-time pad (OTP), and playfair are highly effective when used together to watermark an image or embed a secret message, our lab results validate that our algorithm scheme is robust against several sets of attacks, where the algorithm was assessed by computation of many evaluation metrics such as mean square error (MSE), signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), and peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR).

The free piston engine linear generator (FPELG) is a simple structure engine with only two main parts, i.e., the linear generator and a free piston engine, which has less friction, low emission, high thermal efficiency, and multi-fuel engine. However, the pistons move freely; thus, piston motion control (PMC) is a crucial technical challenge that affects both the performance and stability of FPELG. This review addresses different control techniques and operation parameters of FPELG. Through this review, a new taxonomy method is proposed based on two main groups of control strategies, i.e., the linear-FPE and others-FPE control. The linear-FPE control is classified into the PMC, linear electric machine control, switching control, and combined control. The free piston engine linear generator (FPELG) is a simple engine structure with few components, making it a promising power generation system. However, because the engine works without a crankshaft, the handling of the piston motion control (PMC) is the main challenge influencing the stability and performance of FPELGs. In this article, the optimal operating parameters of FPELG for maximising engine performance and reducing exhaust gas emissions were studied. Moreover, the influence of adding hydrogen (H2) to compressed natural gas (CNG) fuel on FPELG performance was investigated. The free piston linear expander (FPLE) is an energy conversion device that converts mechanical energy into electric energy by using a linear electric machine (LEM) without emission. This research addresses the numerical modeling of a dual-piston air-driven FPLE constructed on the basis of the free piston engine linear generator (FPELG) concept. The model was built in MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation results were in good agreement with the experimental data. Where the in-cylinder pressure and displacement profiles attained errors of less than 10%(within the acceptable range). Then, the predicted results of the simulation model, namely, the displacement profile, in-cylinder pressure, piston velocity, and engine power results were analyzed. Findings indicate that intake pressure was the most important parameter for enhancing engine performance. The in-cylinder pressure increased by approximately 16% and 21.7% when the intake pressure was increased from 5 to 6 bar and from 6 to 7 bar, respectively. The piston velocity increased by approximately 12.3% when the intake pressure increased by 1 bar. Finally, engine power increased by approximately 26.5% and 30.6% when the intake pressure increased from 5 to 6 bar and from 6 to 7 bar, respectively.

Traffic signs object detection has gained high interest in recent years, as one of the most significant object detector applications. Where the development of deep learning technologies gives support to traffic signs detector which it offers several advantages, including the benefit of high detection precision and the timely response to condition changes of traffic signs. Therefore, this paper shows an efficient method for detecting traffic signs in real-time. Hence, it implements a new Iraqi Traffic Sign Detection Benchmark (IQTSDB) dataset based on Mask Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (Mask R-CNN) algorithm. The experimental results show that the implementation of the IQTSDB dataset with Mask R-CNN has high efficiency in different conditions such as sunny, cloudy, weak light, and rainy conditions. Besides, real images were captured for the traffic signs in Baghdad and then compared to the German traffic signs (GTSDB). In addition, the results show that the IQTSDB dataset has a better performance than the GTSDB dataset based on the performance parameters training loss and mean Average Precision (mAP).

Recent growth and development of internet and multimedia technologies have made it significant to upload data; however, in this situation, the protection of intellectual property rights has become a critical issue. Digital media, including videos, audios, and images are readily distributed, reproduced, and manipulated over these networks that will be lost copyright. Also, the development of various data manipulation tools like PDF converter and photoshop editor has resulted in digital data copyright issues. So, a digital watermarking technique has emerged as an efficient technique of protecting intellectual property rights by providing digital data copyright authentication and protection. In this technique, a watermarked document was integrated into electronic data to prevent unauthorized access. In this paper, A robust watermark algorithm based on a 5-level DWT and two log was proposed to enhance the copyright protection of images in unsecured media. Our lab results validate that our algorithm scheme is robust and forceful against several sets of attacks, and high-quality watermarked image was achieved, where the algorithm was assessed by computation of many evaluation metrics such as PSNR, SNR, MAE, and RMSE.
